Call for Submissions: What will Shape the Future of International Cooperation in Education?
UNESCO’s Futures of Education IdeasLAB invites short think pieces (1500 words maximum) that reimagine, interrogate and analyze recent changes in global governance, multilateralism and international cooperation in education.
Global cooperation in education is at a turning point. Traditional frameworks and funding streams are under strain, while new ideas, actors, and alliances are reshaping the landscape. At the same time, urgent global challenges such as ecological crises, rising inequalities, and rapid technological change underscore the need for renewed multilateral collaboration.
Contributions may explore emerging players, including regional blocs, private corporations, philanthropies, grassroots movements, and Indigenous communities, and highlight whose voices and experiences must be more fully recognised in shaping the future of education.
Who can participate?
The IdeasLAB invites researchers, policy-makers, futures thinkers, public servants, private sector actors, educators, youth, and civil society to submit think pieces that provoke reflection, propose solutions, or identify promising directions for multilateralism and global collaboration in education.
