Date: 15 January 2026
Time: 12:00-1:00 PM (CET/Geneva)
Location: Online, via Zoom
Languages: English, with simultaneous Arabic and Russian interpretation

The KIX EMAP Hub is organising two new Learning Cycles. Interested participants are invited to join an information session to learn more about the professional development opportunities and how to apply. Applications will open in January, and the courses will begin in February 2026. More information to follow.

Learning Cycle 8: Education and Climate Change

Duration: 9 February – 3 April 2026

Grounded in principles that place educators at the center of climate-resilient education systems, the Learning Cycle focuses on one main policy priority: enabling teachers to provide high-quality and contextually relevant climate change education in a variety of contexts, balancing examples such as curricular reforms, national initiatives of teachers’ professional development on climate education, and delivering climate education in contexts where schools and learners experience climate impacts. This Learning Cycle will strengthen national teams’ capacity to design and advance policies that support educators in delivering quality climate change education, using equitable approaches informed by climate risks and climate science.

Learning Cycle 9: AI and Education

Duration: 16 February – 8 May 2026

This Learning Cycle focuses on the implications of current and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies on practice, curriculum, policy and governance in education, with an emphasis on the challenges and opportunities brought about by the rapid changes taking place in response to AI. The Learning Cycle will equip course participants to understand the promises and realities of AI in education and position themselves to influence and intervene in AI futures.

During both these Learning Cycles, participants will work in country teams to develop a knowledge product.

These Learning Cycles will be offered in English. If needed, the KIX EMAP Hub can provide interpretation into Russian and Arabic.

There are no course fees as the course is funded by the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE KIX) Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Pacific (EMAP) Hub.
