Latest Policy Paper by IIEP-UNESCO: Renewing the Promise of Development Effectiveness for Transforming Education
The latest policy brief, “Renewing the Promise of Development Effectiveness for Transforming Education,” published by IIEP-UNESCO in collaboration with several organisations and individuals, including key partners Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), reflects on progress, challenges, and lessons learned over the two decades since the 2005 Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.
The brief identifies four strategic priorities for strengthening education systems: promoting national leadership, increasing the use of public financial management systems, improving the production and use of data for decision-making, and embedding effectiveness principles into the global education financing architecture.
