RCCS SAMENA: Teaching License Workshop
Date: 8-9 October 2026
Location: Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka
The KIX EMAP Hub is organising a regional workshop as part of the Rapid Customised Country Support (RCCS) activity in South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (SAMENA) on teaching licenses. This workshop will bring together education stakeholders from Bangladesh, Egypt, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Tunisia. It aims to strengthen regional networks and support countries in identifying practical, context-sensitive approaches to teacher policy reform.
RCCS SAMENA promotes South-South knowledge exchange, drawing lessons from Sindh, Pakistan’s nationally led teaching licensing reform and exploring how relevant practices can be adapted to different country contexts. Led by Professor Sajid Ali and his team of experts from Sindh, RCCS SAMENA supports the KIX EMAP Hub’s mission of promoting evidence-informed policymaking and regional collaboration.
The workshop will provide a platform for countries to share experiences, discuss challenges, and reflect on policy options for strengthening teacher quality and professional standards. Participants will engage as both contributors and learners, exchanging evidence, innovations and lessons from their own education systems.
Eligibility
This event is by invitation only.
