Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference 2025
Date: 8 – 11 July 2025
Location: The Republic of the Marshall Islands
Join the 2025 Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference to reflect on the role of scholarly research and innovation that foster culturally inclusive approaches to policy, curriculum, pedagogy, and educational reform. Commemorating over two decades of Pacific educational dialogue, Vaka Pasifiki will berth for the first time in Micronesia.
The 2025 Conference provides a platform to reimagine Pacific education through contextually relevant and culturally responsive approaches. The conference aims to bring together leading Pacific educators, researchers, academics and community leaders to discuss and share insights on the broad conference theme: Jab Liktōn peeke jeļāļokjen: With knowledge, influence decision-making, voice your ideas, do not remain silent’.
The Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference 2025 is organised by the Institute of Education (IOE) at the University of the South Pacific (USP), in partnership with the Marshall Islands Ministry of Education, Sports, and Training and the GPE KIX Europe Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Pacific (EMAP) Hub. The conference will include a KIX EMAP-sponsored panel.
