NORRAG at CIES 2026

28 March – 1 April 2026

San Francisco, California, United States

NORRAG is pleased to participate in the 70th Annual Conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) in San Francisco, taking place from March 28 to April 1, 2026.

Under the theme “Re-examining Education and Peace in a Divided World,” the conference invites critical reflection on one of the most enduring missions of comparative and international education: the role of education in building peace, social cohesion, and justice.

NORRAG’s participation reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening the connections between research, policy, and practice in education and development. Our network members will be presenting research, engaging in dialogue, and sharing insights on education systems strengthening, conflict-sensitive education, teacher development, and the humanitarian-development-peace nexus.
